Think Mediterranean products deserve the Great Taste award again! This year we have participated with our Fig Truffles innovative and unique ganache flavours. To elaborate our Fig Truffles, we select the Spanish Pajarero figs, fill with handmade ganache and cover with fine dark chocolate.

Perfect to combine with cheese, wine, whiskey or coffee & tea!

Fig Truffle with Manchego ganache: 2 star **

The most awarded  Manchego cheese is used to elaborate our delicious, unique handmade cheese ganache. Perfect for wine and cheese board.

Some of our judges’comments write: “What an intriguing little product, that must have taken skill to make. Manchego in a ganache is something new to us, balanced with the pop of the fig seeds and the good quality dark chocolate covering this pretty little chocolate really engendered debate.”

Fig Truffle with Goat Cheese ganache: 2 star **

Fine aged goat cheese from mountains of Madrid is used to elaborate our ganache.

Some of our judges’comments write: “A chocolate coated fig with a smooth ganache, hints of goats’  cheese and popping seeds. A delight for the cheese board.”

Fig Truffle with Red Wine ganache: 2 star**

Elegant Spanish red wine is sourced to elaborate our ganache.

Some of our judges’comments write: “A very delicious combination of fig, ganache and dark chocolate – the fig is tender and sweet, the ganache is smooth and milky with hints of red wine, the dark chocolate is smooth and rich – together this offers a delicious treat with a touch of sophistication”

Fig Truffle with Brandy ganache: 2 star **

Some of our judges’comments write: “Neat little figs, filled with a smooth ganache which has a hint of brandy – the fig is soft and sticky – the fig seeds pop and crackle. The dark chocolate is a good finishing touch and the flavour marries well.”

Great Taste, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, is the acknowledged benchmark for fine food and drink. It has been described as the ‘Oscars’ of the food world and the ‘epicurean equivalent of the Booker prize’.
